Jeez.....I am really horrible at this whole blogging thing. Since I last posted we obviously had out little girl and now she is already 4 months old. She is not what I would call an easy baby. Nothing like the midget. Our little cupcake is very high maintenance. But she is still a joy and spoiled through and through. Her big brother and daddy are completely whipped and I am not far behind!

Been a while...

My brother pointed out to me that I hadn't updated the blog in a really long time and a lot has happened since Oct. A few of the highlights:

-We found out we are adding another little midget to the mix. Yay! A girl!

-We took a trip out to CO for Christmas. It was lots of fun.
Luke loves hanging out with Mimi and PopPop.

-We got lots of snow and went sledding, which apparently I shouldn't be doing
pregnant... Who knew?!

-The midget turned 6....and got a black eye at his party. But what's a boy
without bruises and such?

-The midget lost his first tooth. Actually it got knocked out when he slipped on
the ice but he was happy either way.

-Then he lost another one....this one came out while he was eating chips and
salsa. Thankfully he didn't swallow it!!!!

And now we are ready for spring!

Fall Kick Off

Whoa...October has been flying by. I looked at the date today and was surprised tht it was already the middle of the month. We went to the pumpkin patch a few weekends ago for a birthday party. Luke loved it!

There was this huge barn stall full of dried corn for the kids to play in. I didn't realize they would come out covered in dust. Luke's brown shoes were white and his camo shorts looked kakhi.

They also had a few animals. Luke loved that the most. He loves being around the animals and feeding them. He took this pic of a goat...I think a goat, maybe a sheep.

There were 2 Heads under all that hair!

So the midget needed a hair cut obviously from his first day of school pictures. So we went over to Bear's place to get a little trim. Now I guess I never realized this but it is really hard to trim up long hair and keep it in the long surfer look. Once she trimmed up the bangs and the back he looked kind of like the amish guy in the movie KingPin. Ha ha ha So we put on some caartoons and she shaved him. He was a little resistant but in the end he was pretty happy.

This morning he was excited because he could actually feel his neck. I am a little worried though that no one will recognize him at school today.....

We (I mean I) survived the first day

So the Midget had his first day of school yesterday and while he was ready for it and super excited, I was not! I barely slept the night before because I was so nervous. He woke up and ran straight for the bathroom just like he always does and I could hear him chanting "It's my first day of school!" over and over again getting louder everytime.

He requested breakfast in my bed for his first day of school and of course we let him.

Then we got him ready, packed his lunch (lunch boxes are not nearly as cool as I remember) and got him out the door. As we saw the bus coming down the street I felt the tears coming, not his, MINE! He got right in line with the other kids and jumped on the bus like he had been doing it for years!

As the bus took off down the street Russ turned to me and asked if I wanted to follow him and of course I said yes. So after the bus we went. And seeing him get off the bus smiling wasn't quite enough. We followed him all the way to the classroom!

I felt pretty good about it all as I went to work. But driving back in the afternoon to the bus stop to pick him up I started to get nervous again. What if he got on the wrong bus or he couldn't remember where his bus stop was? I don't think I reminded him of all of those things.

But alas...
He made it home just fine and very happy. This morning he woke up excited for another day of it. We will see how long that lasts.....................

Is it all really over??????????

Summer is almost over...it actually feels over already, My twenties will be over in a week, and My midget is going to kindergarten already.

1-Is it just me or did this summer just fly by? Around here the last few weeks haven't even been that hot. I had planned on making another venture to the beach but the end of August is already here and we didn't get to go.

2-I am turning 30 next Friday. Where did my twenties go? I don't know if I am prepared for this. I have been thinking about it since my last birthday but it seemed like such a long way off and now it's here and I kind of just want to run the other way.

3- As if turning 30 isn't enough, 3 days later I have to send my midget to school. Wasn't he just born? and now he's going to school. And I have been informed that he will be riding the bus, I am not to drop him off in my car and I am not to follow him to school. He can do it by himself. How did this happen?

How did this little baby........

Become this big guy????????????

I guess we are on to new beginings......hope they will be as good as the last few years.
